The engine was purchased at a flea market several years back. It has received marker
lights and some additional piping as well as a can motor and flywheel (same gearing)
for better operation.
This little beauty performs yeoman duty on my Kanawha Creek Railway and has
worn out its traction tire over the years!
The Kanawha Creek Railway is an up state NY shortline set in the early '50's. This is
one of my newest shots taken with a Canon A80 4 megapixel digital cmaera. It depicts an
0-4-0 yard goat (an old Mantua) on the mainline just outside Hastings Yard.
Approaching Geno Switchback on the north end of town,
an 0-6-0 switcher exits Tunnel #1 on the Kanawha Creek
and will shortly begin track maintenance work with its
M.O.W. consist.
